Austria is part of the EU. Importing from Dubai therefore incurs customs and import VAT, plus the country-specific standard consumption tax (NoVA).

Switzerland is not an EU member and has its own customs and tax system. Different duties apply here than in the EU, including Swiss VAT and the automobile tax.
